Maroons Online 100th Edition
Call it an obsession, if you are feeling mean, or a good example of remote collaboration. Either way this is the 100th edition of the Ezine we call Maroons Online.
The web site has been up for a year, and with the tremendous support of Jeff Yearing, RHS Athletic Hall Of Fame co-chairman Tom Thurston, RHS fundraiser Sam Cermack, and all the heavy lifting by Sally Tarvin Thurston, we have found the RHS Hall Of Fame a home for its honorees. We’ve also collected a goodly number of athletic team photos & statistics with more to come. We are all dedicated to keeping our history near to us, including graduations, teacher tributes, and the In Memory Of By Class.
You might think the curated words, pictures, & videos presented twice a week in Ezine format for your perusal would be a somewhat difficult endeavor. Our merry band of alumni contributors have actually made it all quite easy. In doing so we offer up to future generations our work as a gift. We try to be both an example worthy of emulation and an impetus for much greater works of cooperation in the future.
Ultimately, we are optimists and firm believers that a well funded & supported public education system is the backbone of our democracy. It is this fervent belief which produces the incentive that urges us on.
Thank you for your support and kind words. Hope to keep growing and to include more stories by and about RHS alumni in 2022.

Waiting On A Cheeseburger
I stood on the side of Joe's Diner after I ordered my cheeseburger to go and stood waiting as a guy walks by...by the way...this is how I order it...I'll have a cheeseburger medium rare on an English Muffin with extra pickles and just a raw onion...no tomatoes no lettuce please...oh...and the fries...extra crispy - as for cheese...I have to admit...as a cheese expert...I don't know if the cheese variable has ever effected the taste for me.
Shot through the plastic on 16th just east if 3rd looking west.

Maroon Award
Random Acts of Kindness
The Maroon Award is intended to celebrate students who make Ridgewood High School a better place. The award recognizes students who work hard toward changes in behavior and grades for the better, commit random acts of kindness without expecting recognition, and do the right thing when no one is looking.
