RHSAA Career Speaker Series
As my friend James Stroker likes to say at the beginning of every one of his inspirational videos, “Welcome Back!!”
I’d like to extend a heartfelt James Stroker Welcome Back to the RHS Alumni Association Career Speaker Series.
Thank you to the indefatigable President of the RHS Alumni Association, Bill McCabe for hosting this event. A big congratulations to Tim Monahan for his promotion to vice principal of GWMS, as well as a thank you for serving as interviewer for this series. Good to see Tim will be assisted by RHS Class of 2022 and RHS High Times reporter Matthew Peters.
Our vitality as an alumni community is fed by the activities we sponsor & engage in. No doubt the upcoming Career Speaker Series will provide plenty of food for thought.

Brass and Horn Spice Spoon
M+A's brass and horn spoon is crafted out of sustainably harvested water buffalo horn and solid brass. Each spoon is unique in the natural variations of the horn and the hand made and hand polished brass. For coffee, sugar, spices or caviar. Or just to have!
Crafted from sustainably harvested water buffalo horn and pure brass
Made in Kolkata, India by master artisans
Each spoon measures about 3.5".
Care:
Use mild, non abrasive dish detergents and dry with a soft cloth. Horn reacts to moisture and heat; do not leave soaking in water, come in contact with harsh chemicals or an open flame.

Rock Hound
Shadows are cast over ice, snow and hoarfrost. This ice formed on top of moving water, right along the river shoreline, so it is not well formed yet and not safe to walk on. But the calm winds and below zero temps last night still caused surface hoarfrost to form on top of the ice. If you zoom in on the hoarfrost, it has the appearance of downy feathers.
Looks like a rabbit got wet feet hopping across the soft ice.

RHS 1974
Only in Ridgewood would a neighbor from your childhood track you down 60 years later to tell you they found your old Flexible Flyer in their barn and ask you if you would like it back. My dad’s handwriting with my name and address is still on the bottom. That sled took me into the HoHokus Brook at the bottom of Mastin’s hill more than anywhere else during my childhood. Now it graces my front porch at Christmas time.
I moved away from Ridgewood in 1976, but my heart never left. I still
Ridgewood.
RHS Alumni Association
Career Speaker Series
The RHS Alumni Association is proud to present an evening with Andy Daly (RHS '89) on Tuesday, December 14 from 7:30-8:30 PM on Zoom. If you've ever watched The Office, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, Veep, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Reno 911, or Black-ish... you probably already know Andy Daly!
This event is free and open to all. We recommend registering in advance so we can send the webinar link to you via email. However, the link is also posted to the registration page already for your convenience.
Andy's case, he will be talking about going from the Little Theater & TV Studio at RHS to Hollywood as an actor and producer. This year we are having a current student (Matthew Peters) participate in the interview process. For more about Andy Daly's career.
