A New Beginning
According to Sarah Kiefer of The Ridgewood Public Library, work has begun on making their collection of RHS Arrow Yearbooks dating back to 1908 available online. They have contracted with a firm whichto date has completed years 1960-2000 and put them into a PDF format. They are now trying to figure out the best approach to making all this information searchable. They are a library after all and I think this proper.
As a software engineer I know at minimum it will take a description and a number to make a single yearbook image searchable. To do this for the entire collection will be a huge undertaking. Maybe their is software which can help automate the process but in the end it will take a human to verify the work.
Looking forward to following their progress and if they are able to include any RHS students and RHS alumni in this awesome project.

You’re Saying It Wrong
flair / flare
“Whether or not it works as art, Famous has reinforced [Kanye] West’s reputation as a skillful appropriator with a flare for controversy.” —THE GUARDIAN, US EDITION
Whatever you may think of Kanye, there’s one thing certain: he might be a skilful appropriator, but he definitley doesn’t have “a flare for controversy.” That’s because there’s no such thing.
The Guardian has fallen into a homonym trap and should have used flair.
Flare—used as both a noun or as a verb—is connected with fire.
