Gratitude
I am very grateful for all the readers of this newsletter and visitors to the websites Maroons Online & Maroons History. In the coming weeks & months we’ll keep digitizing the publicly available Arrow Yearbooks dating back to the beginning of schools in Ridgewood. Hopefully, the words & pictures will show where we have come from and how we might build a vibrant & dynamic alumni network together.
I am also very grateful to all those who have allowed their public postings to be published in this newsletter. We are always looking for new contributors whose words, deeds, & photos give us an idea of how they view the world and what is important to them.

M + A NYC
Mighty Are We As One
M + A is a destination devoted to art, artists, artisans and design. We are inspired by art as it relates to design: the soul, the spark that ignites beautiful ideas. We are equally as motivated by craft traditions passed down from generations.

Interesting clouds and sunlight at the Pine River Park this morning. The clouds would thicken up and produce snow flurries, then they would quickly thin out and the sun would shine through. Caught this image at kind of an "in between" stage, with no flurries and just enough sunlight to brighten up the ice and water.

La Dolce Vita
A good day.
We were able to bring my father and brother out from the city for a bit of country air. It was warm enough to spend most of the day outside, but we dined within.
Lunch was steaks on the 50 year old Argentine grill with sautéed escarole and a side salad.

You’re Saying It Wrong
theory
“There is extensive literature noting that, rather than just a theory, urban density does in fact produce less greenhouse-gas emissions per person than suburban sprawl. —FORBES
This usage drives scientists insane. A theory is a system of testable ideas that explains something and that is supported by a large body of evidence. “The problem with the phrase ‘just a theory’ is that it implies a real scientfic theory is a small thing, and it isn’t.” Thanks to Astrophysicist Dvid Goldberg.
