The Seemingly Incomprehensible
I have filled this white space twice a week with my observations for almost two years. Sometimes there are days that befuddle me. I ask myself: Why isn’t our world more knowable, comprehensible, or sometimes even recognizable? After this much time I do understand more fully how much people need other people. None of us can achieve success on our own.
A good example of this necessity is the Ridgewood High School (NJ) Athletic Hall of Fame. They began in 2004, and recently they inducted their tenth cohort of alumni into its ranks. This feat by itself is noteworthy but isn’t the sole reason for their success as an organization.
The true reasons are the dedication of its board members, the fact they didn’t try to do too much at first, and that they have partnered with others when a required task didn’t involve their core competancy: knowledge of athletics and Ridgewood High School’s long history. Other Ridgewood organizations could learn a lot from them.

The Guy Upstairs
This is the 2nd photo I took today during my visit to Saint Patrick's - they only allowed 10 people at a time which created a different feel to the church and when we were walking out...the front door glowed with the security guy preparing for the next group - in the distance is the Atlas sculpture across the street.
Looking from alter towards front doors.
Time 1pm.

Bad Guy With A Gun
Apparently,
There's many a "bad guy" waiting to buy a gun,
Waiting to be a bad guy with a gun...
Studying just how to be a bad guy with a gun...
Studying this peculiar form of self-expression
Where actions bang louder than words,
The weak, meek, outdated words,
Dressed down, less than hieroglyphics,
Worthless words:
As if when wrongly treated
All a person has in response
Is a set of muffled mumblings,
As if when one feels bad
THE ONLY OPTION is
To strike out
Clearly, permanently,
Violently,
As if there is only one technology of expression:
The essence of
The gun:
Barrel,
Trigger,
Bore, Breech,
Bullet,
Blast:
A Brain;
It's a Brain,
A brain
Trying to do it all,
"Look," "I got this,"
No body,
No body,
Nobody
Home.
