Help Wanted: Word Press Apprentice
It had been years since I had been on Linkedin. Their recent acquisition by Microsoft piqued my curiosity as to whether anything had changed.
I liked starting over with no contacts. I reached out to few people and included a brief explanation for my absence. I also checked some profiles which I suspected of being more fiction than reality and wasn’t dissappointed by their same level of self-delusion.
I liked the Linkedin feature where you are able to post a job. Unfortunately, the Artificial Intelligence program banned my ad. This is all I want a volunteer to be:
Word Press Apprentice. For Ridgewood (NJ) High School graduates. No experience needed but helpful. No upper age limit. Job is remote. One RHS alum or faculty reference expected. What qualifies as a Successful Apprenticeship will be mutually determined at the beginning. I’m looking for people interested in the History of Ridgewood High School. Including the following subjects: Athletics, Arrow Yearbook Digitization Project, Faculty Tributes, and anything else.
Send me an email describing your interest. Thank you!

Dutch Schultz
Look,
Dutch Schultz
was an asshole
Whose idea was to kill everybody
Who got in his way:
He had moxie...
He had an extreme negative trajectory...
He was the boss everyone loved to hate...
He was, for the time being,
The Commandant...
While Lucky Luciano
Had other ideas.
Ya see, Mugsy,
Is we gonna let one guy
Bring down the whole world
Around us?
Is the quiet, considered survey-based approach
Adopted by our pedagogical leader
Gonna make those of us
Who have put so much time and effort
Into a steady attempt
To bring the kids along
On a path to skills and knowledge
Change our ways?
For what?
Dutch Schultz
And his gang
Of upstart
Short-term teachers
With their slim volumes of lesson plans
Is they gonna
Commandeer the dialog?
Will their expectations of students and teachers and
How they profess to encapsulate the students'
Opinions into the percentages of a survey hold sway?
Schultz, still alive
Reads a telegram
It reads
"As you sow, so shall you reap."
His peers, eventually, carve up
Dutch Shultz's empire
Into the same old shit
On a different day.

Rock Hound
New ice on the river. There must be a geometric equation for this.
