Snapshots, Selfies, Candid, and Team. These are names for types of video and digital imagery.
I have learned a few things from curating images for The Maroon and the two websites, MaroonsOnline.com & Maroonshistory.com. Among the epiphanies is the importance of having a understanding of Athletic teams history.
I’m no different from any other sports fan who has been left with a strong, lasting impression from simply watching athletic competions. These comprise the stories we tell each other. It’s not so much what the images represent. It’s more how they make you feel.
The American Athlete Steve Prefontaine:
A race is a work of art that people can look at and be affected in as many ways they're capable of understanding.
We are planning, as part of Project Arrow, of adding to our current collection of visual imagery and making it searchable by name, graduating year, & activities. The details on Project Arrow are still being worked out. First and foremost is making good use of the fast aproaching creation of a digitized Arrow Yearbooks.
We’re being ambitious with this project. One of our goals is to catalogue athletic teams from the inception of athletics as a respectable activity to the its current day era of brand-first allegiance. With 131 years to consider we’re hoping to affect as many people in our circle of friends & alumni as possible.

Thumbs-up
Met some tourists buying a dollar slice on 7th avenue and I insisted they throw it down and let me buy them a slice at Joe's a few blocks away - I got the thumbs up when they took their first bite...it really is the best slice in town - we then walked to Washington Square Park where they bought me a beer and I returen the thumbs up and explained to them the center of the center of the universe concept - we all walked away with happy stomachs and faces and minds.

Deborah Bryant Handwoven
"Deb's styles are elegant in their simplicity, and their versatility is appreciated by women from all walks of life. The shawls and scarves I had in my Maryland pop-up shop were great sellers. The fact that they are machine washable is a huge plus."
Jim Schoneman
Rock Hound
Spent a little time with John at Grandfather Falls over the weekend. Last weekend the water was twice the volume, but this place is full of energy under any conditions.
