RHS Athletic Hall of Famer Gives Back
It is with great pride that The Maroon mentions the name of Michael Culver, RHS 2002, and a member of the Ridgewood High School Athletic Hall Of Fame.
As his former coaches said, Michael Culver kept his head up and saw the entire field of play. During his days at RHS this meant the Football & Lacrosse fields. He recently showed how well he has retained this ability.
Michael heard about Project Arrow from Jeff Yearing. Upon hearing the need for careful handling of RHS artifacts, some dating back to the 19th century, Michael offered to do the job of digitizing all the oldest documents himself at no cost.
We’ll hear more from Michael about the progress he is making in the near future.
The goal of Project Arrow is to create a Ridgewood-centric museum in the Cloud. It will serve as an Archive for future & current generations to consult. Everyone is welcome to contribute images, videos, and written recollections.

Cab on Cab
I walk out of Central Park at 72nd street and the yellow glow of a vintage Checker cab catches my eye and before it could pull away down 5th ave...I ran across the street and shot this in his hubcap as an oncoming cab approached the downtown light - "hey...I'm walking here" (yes...that's mandatory copy for all things NY cab related).
FYI - the MCC on the hubcaps stands for Marathon Checker Cabs
Shot looking east with westerly reflection with cab, halal food truck, Central Park and clouds in distance.
