RHS Alumni Garden Club
I admit the idea of an RHS Alumni Garden Club is an old idea. Though it doesn’t mean it can’t be dusted off and re-imagined for the 21st Century.
You can join the club by sending a picture to The Maroon of a favorite plant, tree, or landscape growing in your garden. Maybe include an RHS artifact in the picture like your old Ridgewood bag or a beer stein given to you at graduation, or just include yourself.
Also, please post a picture on Social Media if you happen to attend either of these events:
On Monday, August 28, 2023 there will be volunteers giving a much needed weeding to the Ridgewood Central Business District (CBD).
On Saturday, October 14, 2023 the Village Shade Tree Commission's Adopt-a-Sapling program will commence! Volunteers are needed to commit to the watering needs for two years. https://www.ridgewoodnj.net/boards-and-committees/shade-tree-commission/adopt-a-tree
We’ll post Garden Club photos as they are made available.

The Usual Consciousness
The subway station was flooded after a morning downpour and so I started walking west to 7th avenue and as I crossed Broadway...a series of lines and colors caught my eye in a large puddle that formed and so I kneltndown and leaned up against the barrier and shot this as the morning flow regained its usual consciousness.

Mighty Are We As One
How would you describe your style? I tend to go for things that are fairly simple, timeless, and well made; if it’s chic I’ll love it a whole lot more and will end up using it / wearing it endlessly. I adopted the outlook of “fewer, better” a long time ago. I apply that same approach to M + A. I try to incorporate all of the things that I love into my designs to give them some soul, with the hope that they will bring joy to people for a long time.
