Do You Have To Finish College First?
Yes.
You’ll likely be following in the footsteps your parents have laid out for you from the time of birth. It is a time-honored tradition, albeit an expensive one. Nothing in the world wrong with the tenets of a Liberal Arts Education, and subsequent degrees which might follow.
On the other hand, sometimes inside you know, this is not the way to go.
And oftentimes that comes from upbringing, ironically. Having been given the best and the brightest by your parents, who want to enrich your life so it can be even better than theirs, you discover other stimulants, other paths, and your parents are confounded.
The path you choose to call your own, and which you will be known by, is never clearly laid out. You will blunder along like we all do.
Give your parent’s idea a try, and do finish it. The beauty of continuing your education after high school is in trying to accomplish feats you didn’t think were possible or you were capable of completing.
From my vantage point, I have never seen so more options thanks to distance learning and freely available online courses, not to mention all the apps!
Dare to be good in one profession, avocation, or past time. Then apply the same determination to another one which leverages your new found experience. I won’t suggest you be like me and go from being a restaurateur to a network engineer, but you never know how sharp a turn you might be able to take until you try.

Times Square Prison Break
The downtown light turns green and at that point...its basically every man, woman, child and photographer for themselves - I only survived by feigning death on the side of the road.
Shot on 7th avenue at 45th street looking north.
Time 845am.

Tales From The Wood…
Not bad... imagine being a little kid looking up at that... it'd look as tall as the house.

Just had one of my best shows ever with the Leaf Festival in Cashiers this last weekend, in fact it almost wiped out all of my stock! I’m back in the studio today doing what I do and rebuilding towards the next show. Bear with me as my online shop is looking a little sparse as well. I’m starting with a palette cleanse and weaving some lovely natural and white shawls. I am thankful for the opportunity to live this artist life and appreciate the show staff and every customer.

Love to have you attend to be part of a 3 part series on reframing and exploring the secrets to perception and the ability to not only accept challenges but learn to embrace them.

Rock Hound
The river, the rocks, the trees, the old wood; they know nothing about hate or politics or wars. That's why I like to hang with them.
This is the sunset at the Big Eddy of the Wisconsin River tonight, looking west, towards downtown Merrill.
