The Spy Who Vacuumed & Mopped
Between them, Apple, Google, Verizon, & Amazon have the household Wi-Fi passwords of every home connected to the Internet in the US. When the next generation household devices are added, from a myriad of companies & worldwide entities, we’ll be asking ourselves: “How did we get here?”
We reached this point in time slowly, then the pace got faster, and now the speed of change it’s faster than we can comprehend.
The trouble with the changes and their incomprehensible speed, is that the mega-changes are enhancing the most pernicious part of the Internet: the buying and selling of our personal information by multi-national corporations.
Truth be told, the unspecified use of our personal information is no longer an acceptable price to pay for Internet access to public utilities like Social Media. We are past the point of having Apple, Google, Verizon, & Amazon self-regulate. Time to say, “Enough!” Regulate the “bros” from Silicon Valley before they do anymore harm.

The Man From Clinton Hill
I saw an old best up flower shop outside a bodega on 57th street from my bus window and immediately hit the bell so the bus would stop.
As I approached the flower shop...I noticed it had nice flowers inside but that they were covered with a thick plastic roll up cover that was hiding their beauty but since the flower guy wasn't there yet...the plastic cover remained and so I shot the flowers through the scratched up thick plastic as a guy in a gray hoodie emerged from down the hill wearing a sweat shirt and crossing 9th Avenue in search of civilization.
Shot on 9th Avenue at 57th street looking east into plastic with flowers and with westerly reflection towards Clinton Hill with buildings.
Time 850am.

For an afternoon of our lives, Brian and I got to make art with #PiperLaurie. It was amazingly kind of her to do, and speaks volumes about her generosity. Of course, we already knew her talent. RIP, Ms. Laurie... and thank you.

You’re Saying It Wrong
Ross & Kathy’s podcast: You're Saying It Wrong is a podcast that looks at what we get wrong—and what we sometimes get right—when it comes to this English language.
On the October 13, 2023 episode:
More of the newest words just added to dictionaries. Rage farming, pessimize, and hallucinate (but in a new way!) -- and one old word just added (snite?!?). Also a huge serving of humble pie for me -- no way to whitewash that!
