We All Have Our Stories
We tell our Life stories by relying on the mind’s ability to filter memories more to our liking.
A memory can be of a past event or simply a reminder of a close relative’s insight, similar to what former US Senator from NJ and New York Knickerbocker “Dollar Bill” Bradley received from his Scotch-Irish grandmother:
“Never look down on people you don’t understand.”
Kate Bradley offered this cautionary advice before her grandson left home to attend Princeton. This is a hard-learned Midwestern United States epiphany she was relaying to him. He says he never forgot its words or tone; and that during his life’s turning points the echo of its strong moral credo always came to mind.

Looking South To Find My Way North
After a late lunch and a few jugs of wine at Pastis...I find myself standing in the rain looking south wondering which way my warm northern apartment is.
Shot on 9th Avenue just north of Gansevoort looking south.

Tales From The Wood…
Thelma Schoonmaker has been working in the film industry for over 30 years and is one of the greatest living film makers. She is a three-time Academy Award winning film editor and she is the "editor of choice" for Martin Scorsese, having edited every one of his films since Raging Bull. She won Oscars for her work on Raging Bull, The Aviator, and The Departed. Ms. Schoonmaker could be considered a pioneer in the world of films, having gained high respect in an industry dominated by men.
