"A Little Help?"
I believe it’s still true today that whenever the ball leaves the playing field or basketball court, a cry will go out for a little help to whomever is nearest the stray ball.
“A Little Help?”
This is the time-honored, shorthand that people either understand, to please send the ball back, or they don’t. If they aren’t hip to the slang, they will be asked a second time by someone with an incredulous voice, using no playground slang, to please look around and see that our ball is at your feet.

Joy Level Spliffo
You can take the temperature of a city...that is...you can get a sense of the level of joy a city is experiencing by walking through one of the city's parks - in this case...Washington Square and I'd have to say...based on this photo...the joy level is level @splifffffffffff - thats a new term named after the skateboarder in the photo - pass it on - joy level Spliffo...yeah I like the sound of that.

Here’s to the crazy ones . The misfits the rebels the trouble makers . The round pegs in the square holes !
They are not fond of rules and have no respect for the status quo . You can quote them, disagree with them , glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them ! Because they change things. They move the human race forward . Apple then suggested in their famous 1997 Add campaign “Think Different “
Some def them as the Crazy ones but we at Apple see them as Genius !! Because anyone who is Crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones that do !!!!
Keep thinking different!!!!!
Don’t run with the herd 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️

Rock Hound
John and I took a hike on a section of the Ice Age Trail yesterday looking for the mysterious Turtle Rock, and we actually found it. It’s located along the old Native American canoe portage around the Grandfather Falls of the Wisconsin River, on the west side of the river.
The Turtle Rock is a Manitou stone. It was a sacred place for the Indians. The following text is from a research paper I found on the web, written by Herman Bender:
“A Manitou rock can still be found near Grand Father Bull Falls along the west side of the Wisconsin River in Lincoln County, the site of an old portage route as reported by Hiram Calkins in 1855 (Brown 1908:167). This particular rock outcrop has ‘projection’ in addition to ‘sound’ emitted from water flowing underground through a split or fracture in the rock (Figures 3a&3b). The projection, split and sound are 'phenomenal attributes' (Steinbring 1992), considered highly ‘mysterious’ and would be purpose enough for Grand Father (Bull) Falls to have been venerated as a place of Manitou.”

You’re Saying It Wrong
Ross & Kathy’s podcast: You're Saying It Wrong is a podcast that looks at what we get wrong—and what we sometimes get right—when it comes to this English language.
Hot off the presses ... or, rather, radio waves! This week's newest espisode -- words that SOUND like they're related to other words, but might not be. We're talking words like shamefaced, checkmate and, everyone's fave vomitorium! Where'd they come from anyway, huh?!? (AND ... if you've got the time and/or wherewithal, ask your local public radio station to add You're Saying It Wrong to their lineup! The more stations, the merrier!)
