What, Me Worry?
If I could go back and talk to my teenage self, I would offer this advice:
Not To Worry. Don’t try to pretend everything is OK when you’re worried.
Do focus your attention on the present to ease your worries about the future.Career timing is everything. It was way more important than anticipated. There are literally zero books on career timing. However, remember the untold power in being in the right place at the right time.
Success all comes down to information. Much of the information is public, available to all.
You've got to be unique, an individual. You've got to think for yourself. You've got to learn how to say No.

Project Arrow
Creating An Online Home For RHS Arrow Yearbooks
-To preserve the precious documents that tell the story of RHS over the years
-To create a platform for sharing that history with alumni and their families
-To open up the possibility of expanding the collection with contributions, stories, and artifacts that surface in the future
Project Arrow is dedicated to RHS teacher. Eva Suydam who initiated the Arrow Yearbook publication.
It is a collaborative effort by Ridgewood High School and the Ridgewood Public Library. The Arrow Yearbooks from 1898 through the 1940s are now online.

A Cup Of Tea On The Commode
A Cup of Tea on the Commode” chronicles my multi-tasking adventures. My hope is to not only entertain as there are a lot of fun stories in it, but to inspire others, especially men, to find the joy in care giving. I did, and I’m a better man for it.

Love my little jaunts to Duluth, especially during and after a winter storm. Well, maybe "love" isn't quite the right word. When I left Merrill it was still windy, but it was 53 degrees and the sun was coming out. By the time I got close to Duluth it was in the low 20's and the snow was blowing hard and the interstate was one lane, bare knuckle driving.
If I timed it right, the beautiful 1000 footer Mesabi Miner should be pulling into the canal late morning tomorrow. But if experience is any guide, she'll probably anchor a few miles out and just sit there until I have to drive home, and I'll miss her entrance. Hoping for the best.
If you zoom in a bit, you can see a ship a couple miles out . That's the 1000 foot tug-barge combo Presque Isle, and it's another very impressive piece of floating machinery. It hasn't moved for a while. Not sure why she's just sitting there.

You’re Saying It Wrong
It's time to flaunt the rules! Incredulous as it may sound, we've planned a truly climatic episode of You're Saying It Wrong this week. In case you haven't guessed yet-- but you seem VERY intelligent, so we're sure you did -- we're talking one of our fave subjects -- Confusables, those words that sound a lot like other words but have totally different meanings. (And ... if you like YSIW, tell your local public radio station to pick us up! More is good!)
